regular full-time Medical Lab Scientist (Medical Technologist) or
Medical Lab Technician to support our oncology offices in
Washington, Uniontown, and Steubenville. /n In this patient-facing

/n /n Compensation: /n /n - Medical Lab Technician: Starting at
$21.48/hour with a sign-on bonus of $10,000! /n - Medical Lab
Scientist: Starting at $26.97/hour with a sign-on bonus of $15,000!
/n /n Final title and salary will be based on your experience and
education. /n This position will work between 56 to 80 hours per
pay period (2 weeks) with Monday-Friday daylight hours and receive
full-time benefits. This position is eligible for a float

/n Responsibilities: /n /n - Interact with all laboratory customers
courteously and professionally; respond to telephone inquiries in a
timely manner. Practices pleasant communications both internally
and externally. /n - Adhere to established laboratory and hospital
policies in areas of procedures, methods, quality control, quality
assurance, safety, compliance, and personnel policies. Follow
established procedures for the collection (including phlebotomy, as
required) and processing of specimens for analysis including the
appropriateness and stability of the sample. Perform qualitative
and quantitative analytical procedures according to established
protocols with precision and accuracy in a timely and efficient
manner. /n - Recognize critical, abnormal, and unacceptable test
results and follow-up according to established protocols. Recognize
factors that affect measurements and results and initiate the
necessary corrective action according to established protocols.
Identify problems with instrumentation, methodology, specimens,
supplies, or results and act as outlined in predetermined
protocols. /n - Operate and maintain equipment within the scope of
training utilizing defined schedules and written instructions to
perform quality control checks, preventive maintenance, and
calibration. Perform minor repairs. Use reagents and supplies
cost-effectively; monitor and maintain an appropriate supply
inventory. /n - Maintain in-depth knowledge of techniques,
principles, and instruments, their interrelationships and
physiological conditions affecting test results. /n - Conduct,
direct, or assist with test development and methodology/equipment
evaluation, selection, and implementation. /n - Performs High
Complexity Testing (as defined by PA DOH) without direct
supervision. /n - Assume responsibility for first-line supervision
of the section/department temporarily as delegated. /n - Train and
orient new employees, students, and residents, as applicable and as
assigned. /n Applicants will be placed in the appropriate job title
& salary based on their experience and education. /n Medical
Laboratory Scientist: /n /n - Bachelor of Science degree from an
accredited college/university AND successful completion of a CAHEA
accredited Medical Technology program,/n /n - OR Bachelor of
Science degree from an accredited college/university with a major
in biological, chemical, physical or clinical laboratory science
AND ASCP categorical certification, /n - OR Bachelor of Science
degree from an accredited college/university with a major in
biological, chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science AND
at least two years' experience in a role equivalent to that of a
Medical Laboratory technician (MLT) in a clinical laboratory /n /n
/n - Prefer 1 year experience in a hospital laboratory. /n -
Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory information systems
preferred. /n - Phlebotomy experience preferred. /n /n Medical Lab
Technician: /n /n - Associate degree in laboratory science with
certification (or eligible new graduate) from an accredited
institution as either a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or as a
Clinical Laboratory Assistant (CLA),/n /n - OR Bachelor of Science
degree from an accredited institution with a major in biological,
chemical, physical, or clinical laboratory science, /n - OR
equivalent education and experience as defined by CLIA '88 for
individuals performing high complexity testing. /n /n /n -
Experience: Minimum 1 years’ experience in a hospital laboratory
preferred. /n - Familiarity with medical terminology and laboratory
information systems preferred. /n - Phlebotomy experience
preferred. /n /n Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: /n /n -
Medical Technologist MT(ASCP), Medical Laboratory Scientist
MLS(ASCP), or equivalent certification preferred. /n - Act 34 /n /n
