Part Time 24 Hours per Week Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm Summary: The Patient Service Representative II provides a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment-related services including verifying and updating patient and insurance information in the EMR system. Responsibilities: Ability to set and revise priorities based on workload and anticipating needs and deadlines. Follows through on routine tasks and general office duties, i.e., faxing, copying, filing, mailings, promptly returning phone calls, etc. Develops and maintains positive relationship with patients and families via prompt and caring response to questions, requests, etc. Manages third-party payors and collection of co-pays. Performs point-of-service activities [co-pay collection, patient tracking and other duties] as assigned under the direction of the Operations Manager/Supervisor or Team Lead. Participates in cross coverage efforts with other PSR II Other duties as required. Other information: Technical Expertise Experience working with all levels within an organization is preferred. Experience in healthcare is preferred. Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required. Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively via telephone or face-to-face with patients, patient families, physicians and other staff members within the facility. Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to perform basic math skills to process insurance co-payments. Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute (wpm) is required. Education and Experience Education: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Associate degree preferred. Certification: None. Years of relevant experience: 1 years is preferred.
