Immediate opening for a multi-talented Civil Engineering Transportation Project Manager in the OHM Advisors' Akron or Cleveland offices.

Your Responsibilities

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, planners, and technicians on transportation, municipal, and site development projects. Project engineering responsibilities include infrastructure design, preparation of construction documents, cost estimating, and thorough project QA/QC.

Project Management duties include developing and managing the project scope, schedule, and budget; and delivering an overall quality project to our clients. Collaboration with a team of engineers and mentoring of entry-level staff will be essential.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • The ideal candidate will have 10 - 20 years of experience involving roadway, highway, site, and utility design.
  • Must possess a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio.
  • Experience managing multi-discipline engineering projects.
  • Experience developing and maintaining project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Experience with ODOT and municipal projects involving roadway geometric design, roadway rehabilitation/reconstruction, and drainage design.
  • Understanding of the ODOT Project Development Process.
  • Understanding of ODOT design criteria, standards, and specifications.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • The desire and ability to build strong client relationships.
  • The desire and ability to train entry-level engineers and interns.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Experience with maintenance of traffic design is a plus.
  • Experience with traffic engineering is a plus.
  • Experience with Right of Way design is a plus.
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer is a plus
  • Experience with AutoCad/Civil 3D is a plus
  • Participation in local professional society functions is a plus.
