Job Description EarthQuaker Devices, a guitar effect pedal company
based in Akron, Ohio, is seeking qualified candidates for the role
of Production Manager with experience in electronics manufacturing.
The Production Manager directs the activities of team members to
ensure department goals are met. They will ensure the team meets
established standards, specifications, efficiency, and quality
requirements for all assigned work. They will regularly communicate
and collaborate with cross-functional teams concerning progress,
challenges, resource needs, and prioritization. They are the go-to
person for all questions within this department. They will hold
team members accountable for all results and commitments. The
Production Manager will be a data-driven problem solver who
determines and uses KPIs to guide their decision-making processes.
The Production Manager is responsible for the quality and
durability of EarthQuaker Devices products. This includes
monitoring quality standards and assuring that production best
practices are followed. The Production Manager should have
extensive knowledge of electronics manufacturing and components, as
well as musical instruments and terminology. About EarthQuaker

production schedules and priorities to ensure company goals are met
utilizing ERP and HRIS systems.Provides human resources support to
production staff. Coaches employees on any issues with quality,
efficiency, attendance, or other problems. Provides positive
feedback for good work and solutions for any challenges that
employees face.Selects and develops team members to ensure
efficient production. Able to train all employees on the safe
operation of tools and machinery. Maintains OSHA safety
compliance.Works to continuously improve production techniques,
inventory practices, and scheduling. Adopts lean and Six Sigma best
practices throughout production, ranging from small and immediate
changes to larger future-state projects. Regularly assesses project
status and results.Establishes and enforces production and quality
control methods and standards. Ability to assess all products
according to company quality standards throughout all stages of
production, diagnose and repair technical issues, and audit builds
and assemblies for quality. Audio tests effects and assures that
all functions perform as designed.Manages the Repair Department,
providing training and support and ensuring that warranty repair
standards are met.Assists the Engineering/Design Team in new
product prototyping and existing product modifications.Advanced
understanding of wiring diagrams, basic schematics, signal flow,
effects specifics, parts uses, etc., and ability to act as a
resource to other production members regarding the technical
specifics of the products.Collaborates with other department
leaders on new product releases and various projects.Adaptability
throughout the workday and ability to multi-task and balance
various duties while completing each task promptly and according to
company standards.Performs other related duties as assigned. The

QualificationsBachelor's degree in business management or relevant
field and/or related operations experience.5+ years' experience in
supervisory roles providing people and performance
management.Experience in an electronics manufacturing
environment.Advanced understanding of wiring diagrams, basic
schematics, and signal flow.Advanced understanding of musical
instruments and terminology.Familiar with lean methodologies and
techniques.Proficient in M.S. Office, WMS, and ERP
systems.Experience in reporting on key production metrics.Excellent
verbal and written communication skills.Prior knowledge of the
brand and products is preferred. Work ConditionsStanding or sitting
for extended periods.Repetitive use of hands in manipulating
soldering irons and other tools such as wrenches, pliers, and wire
strippers.Ability to visualize and manipulate very small components
during assembly.Moderate to high noise levels from operating
machinery.This is an onsite, full-time, Monday through Friday,
first-shift position. Compensation and Benefits The base salary
range is $60,000/yr - $75,000/yr. Compensation may vary based on
skills and experience. Full-time employees have access to our
