City of Hermitage Electrical Maintenance/WPC Operator Position The City of Hermitage is seeking an Electrical Maintenance/WPC Operator in the Water Pollution Control Department. This position identifies and rectifies problems related to the operation and maintenance of equipment related to the treatment and collection of sewage. It provides maintenance for variable frequency drives (VFD), pumps, motor control systems and programmable logic controller (PLC) equipment. The position interprets data used to operate equipment such as Voglesang sludge feed pumps, thermophilic and mesophilic digesters, gas production and utilization equipment, ultra-violet disinfection equipment and band screens, pumps, sequencing batch reactors and blowers. Qualifications include a minimum of high school diploma or GED, three years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience, possession of a certification in electrical sciences or related electrical field and knowledge of the principles and practices of wastewater treatment operations and equipment maintenance. The successful candidate must be a licensed treatment plant operator, Class A by PA DEP, and possess a valid PA driver---s license. Pay rate is $21.034 - $31.306 per hour. Excellent benefit package.
