Assembler / Assembly TechnicianJob DescriptionThe Assembler / Assembly Technician should have 1+ years' experience in mechanical assembly work. A strong mechanical aptitude, great organizational skills, and proficiency reading blueprints are essential for this position. This Assembler reports to the Shop Supervisor and Director of Engineering and Manufacturing Operations.The Assembler/Assembly Technician a full-time position. Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance are offered on the 31st day of employment. 401K eligibility begins after the 60th day of employment. Pay is bi-weekly. Generous PTO policy, starting on your 90th day of employment.This position is located in Akron, OH. MB Kit Systems, LLC is a division of WEISS North America, Inc.Job ResponsibilitiesAssemble simple to complex mechanical assemblies per specification by interpreting blueprints and drawings while following manufacturing processes and procedures.Identify the necessary tooling and equipment to perform assigned operationInspect parts, as necessary using the proper measuring tools. Micrometers, calipers, etc.Maintain proper project documentationOperate a tow motor on a as need to basis, operate and overhead crane as need beMust be able to work independently with little supervision.Provided strong customer support on a as need basisAssist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by MB Kit SystemsDesired Skills & ExperienceHigh school diploma or GEDMinimum of one year of mechanical assembly workAdvanced ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and specificationsIntermediate math skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgencyEffective written and verbal communication skillsStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsWell organized with an aptitude for detailsExperience with using different types of pneumatic, electrical, and hand toolsAble to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 40 lbs. on a needed basis and up to 75 pounds with assistanceAble to regularly apply physical mobility (stretching, lifting, bending, twisting, etc.) to perform all assembly related assignmentsMachining experience and knowledge is a plus PI132515987
