Assembly Supervisor (Full-Time)Industrial Profile Systems - Akron, OHHourly/Non-ExemptJob Description The Assembly Supervisor oversees and coordinates the work of employees in the assembly area. This position will develop processes to increase efficiency and ensure that finished products meet all specifications. The Assembly Supervisor will be responsible for completing orders with accuracy and checking orders before being transferred to shipping and packaging. The candidate must be able to assemble our products if an employee in the assembly area is absent or has to step away. This position would report to the Shop Supervisor. Job Responsibilities - Assembly SupervisorCoordinate activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of direct reportsEvaluate and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and techniquesIdentify staff development and training needs and ensure training is scheduled and attendedMaintain records and prepare reports as neededRead blueprints/sketches in order to plan material, equipment, and labor needsOversee quality control functionsCertify all orders are accurate and move to the shipping and packaging area on timeManage inventory of needed tools, equipment, and partsComplete near miss, accident, incident, and injury reportsDirect assemblers and support personnel in accordance with daily work schedulesEnsure all direct reports remain in compliance with all current safety regulationsCollaborate with other departments including purchasing, engineering, planning, and scheduling Communicate issues/delays as it relates to the weekly back log to ensure proper production flowConduct performance reviews, approve PTO requests, track call offsAssist in maintaining the highest quality of product provided by Industrial Profile SystemsPerform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed. Desired Skills & Experience - Assembly Supervisor High school diploma or GEDMinimum of 3-5 years of assembly experienceMinimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a warehouse environmentKnowledge of methods, practices, tools, and equipment involved in assemblyExperience with conducting training preferredAbility to read precision measuring devices, apply shop mathematics to practical problems, read sketches, specs, and blueprintsConfident personality with a can do attitude is a must; creative solution finderAbility to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgencyWell organized with an aptitude for detailsEffective verbal and written communication skillsHave the ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressureProficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP is a plus, but not required PI201738651
