Job Description ACCOUNTS PAYABLE/RECEIVABLE CLERK PURPOSE OF POSITION : To provide the services necessary for the accurate processing of vendor invoices for payment and following up on FFTI invoices to customers. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: -- Maintain AlP filing systems (P.O.'s, receivers, packing lists, discrepancies) -- Match all invoices to appropriate receivers, packing slips, and P.O.'s. -- Create batches for daily input, review purchase journals for final stage of processing and posting. -- Select all companies for printing and distributions of checks. Generate and distribute all AlP reports. -- Process daily invoices to customers -- Create batches from payments received and apply to customer accounts -- Create monthly statements and distribute to customers REGULAR DUTIES: -- Match all invoices, receiving tickets, packing slips and P.O.'s for coding and daily input. -- Refer variances in the matching process to the purchasing dept. for clarification and approval. -- Issue debit/credit memos to vendors for shortages, material returned and price differences. -- Select all companies for printing and distribution of checks on a weekly basis. -- Generate and distribute all AlP reports. -- Match invoices with checks and forward for signature. Mail released checks. -- Sorting and distribution of incoming mail. -- Reconcile all Vendor statements and take incoming vendor calls with payment issues. -- Create and distribute customer invoices -- Process daily receivables activity -- Generate and distribute monthly customer statements EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: -- High School Graduate. -- Two-year associate degree, general accounting or equivalent experience EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS -- 2 -3 years in an Accounting environment Company Description Falls Filtration Technologies is a manufacturer of filtration systems and components for the Aerospace, Military and industrial sectors.
