Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Responsible for supporting the WM Region(s) goals primarily through coaching and supporting the growth of client facing employees and teams to meet their goals by implementing and driving adoption of the the ideal practice model for employee/team satisfaction and delivering the WM Experience to prospects and clients.

This role will report directly to the Regional Manager. The National Development Director (NDD) will provide oversight and guidance to execute and coach to the national playbook and processes that drive the ideal practice model and the WM Experience. To ensure consistency and on-going development, the Regional Development Manager (RDM) will have established coaching routines with the NDD.

In collaboration with the NDD and their Region Manager(s), the RDM will leverage production and performance measures, along with Key Performance Indicators to establish prioritized coaching and inspection routines for employees/teams within the region(s) and will utilize systems to document these routines for transparency and accountability. The RDM will be jointly accountable for growing the market share of affluent clients and ensuring team sales goals are met.

The RDM proactively engages in strategic planning with key business partners in regional footprint and collaborates with other Wealth Management and partner leaders to encourage and support our One Bank philosophy. They contribute to and lead the development of activities to build reciprocal referral relationships, promoting integrated partnership opportunities that generate new client prospects and the deepening of the overall relationship of existing clients.

Additionally, the RDM provides input to influence the strategic direction of important policies, procedures and programs. Supports the development and execution of the region's business plan and serves in a key leadership role within the market. May provide level 1 supervision responsibilities for team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Champion strategic priorities and initiatives through the region, such as Client Acquisition program and the evolution of goals-based financial planning as central to the client experience. Responsible to drive adoption at the team and the region level of the ideal practice model and the tools, processes, products and best practices to enable efficiency and growth through personalized coaching, measurement and partnering for accountability. Responsible to drive and support teams to deliver a modern and effective client experience via the WM Experience, through direct coaching, demonstration/capstone events, and partnering with Training and Corporate support teams. Achieves sales and net production budget for assigned region(s). Maintains expenses at or under budget to maximize net income contribution to USBI. Supports setting Region's annual sales and net production budget. Analyzes Market/Region level performance trends for sales production, leading indicators and recommends/shares best practices and techniques that will benefit the Region. Identify opportunities for growth and productivity through partnerships, branch integration and sales process improvements. Sustains profitability, growth, and client retention of assigned region. Coordinates with Wealth Leadership to establish sales goals and develop market objectives and strategies for Wealth products and services. Consistently organizes and delivers Sales Management activities geared to increase the sales results of the region. Activities include: establishing sales and net production budgets and reporting requirements for teams, monitoring sales and activity figures to identify success and improvement opportunities, organizing sales/training meetings for teams and support staff and observing, through joint calling activities, the sales skills and product knowledge of each team member and determining sales or training initiatives that would increase production and overall performance. Demonstrates commitment to the Wealth Management Value Proposition, clearly articulating the benefits and rewards of the Wealth Management strategy. Provides inspiration and a clear vision of owning the overall customer experience. Actively ensures compliance with the U.S. Bank Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements, policies and procedures. Actively participates in any required corporate and business line training in these areas. Follows account opening procedures and understands and follows internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as required for this position. Actively works with customers to understand each customer's normal account activity, as appropriate for this position.
