DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced
Permanent Nonprofit Attorney to join our legal team. As a key
member of our organization, you will provide comprehensive legal
advice and solutions to our nonprofit clients, helping them
navigate the complex legal landscape of the nonprofit sector. This
is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled attorney to make a
significant impact on the nonprofit community while working in a
fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities:1. Provide
expert legal advice to our nonprofit clients on a wide range of
topics including tax law, business law, and nonprofit law.2. Draft,
review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal
documents.3. Assist clients with the formation of nonprofit
organizations, including drafting articles of incorporation,
bylaws, and conflict of interest policies.4. Advise clients on
federal and state legal and regulatory compliance issues, including
lobbying and political activity, fundraising, and charitable
solicitation.5. Represent clients before federal, state, and local
agencies, including the IRS and state attorneys general.6. Conduct
legal research and provide training and education to clients on
legal issues affecting nonprofits.7. Collaborate with other members
of the legal team to develop and implement legal strategies that
advance the interests of our clients.Qualifications:1. Juris Doctor
(JD) degree from an accredited law school.2. A minimum of 3 years
of experience in tax law, business law, and nonprofit law.3.
Membership in good standing with a state bar.4. Strong knowledge of
federal and state laws and regulations affecting nonprofits.5.
Exceptional legal research, writing, and negotiation skills.6.
Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a
fast-paced environment.7. Excellent interpersonal and communication
skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients
and colleagues.8. Commitment to the mission and values of the
nonprofit sector.9. Experience with representing clients before
federal, state, and local agencies is a plus.10. Prior experience
in a law firm or in-house legal department serving nonprofit
