Position: SAP Basis Administrator Job in Akron, OH
Location: Akron, OH
Duration:  3 months
 
Modis, a leader in the staffing industry, is working with our client to assist them in filling an SAP Basis Administrator Job located in Akron, OH.  This individual will join an existing team and provide technical assistance on an SAP Upgrade with a go live date in May.  This individual will support the efforts to meet this cutover date for the upgrade.  
 
Responsibilities:
The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the management of the SAP environment. The SAP Basis Administrator responsibilities include configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment on an ongoing basis as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system. The SAP Basis Administrator is responsible for the installation, upgrade, and maintenance of SAP systems.
 
• Support technical upgrade of EHP6 for ERP/EHP2 for CRM to the latest SAP Enhancement Pack release.
• Requirements Analysis: Work with the Basis team to successfully upgrade all systems within the landscape.
• Document: Provide technical documentation of all upgrade steps. Perform all tasks in compliance with the company standards and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.

Requirements:
• Minimum of 5 years Basis Administration experience.
• Experience running SAP in Unix/AIX environment.
• Experience using the SAP SUM tool to perform ABAP based upgrades.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve problems in a production support environment.
• Must be skilled in both oral and written communications.
• Understanding of Solution Manager, LMDB and Maintenance Optimizer tools.
