Resources Administrator serves as an operational and strategic HR
partner for SHRS, supports the employment lifecycle for SHRS
personnel including administrative management of part-time faculty,
academic student personnel, and student workers while ensuring
compliance with university policies and collective bargaining
agreements. This role partners closely with the Faculty Affairs
team to support promotion and tenure activities and ensure faculty
affairs processes are accurate and complete. The Human Resources
Administrator leads school-wide training and engagement
initiatives, oversees payroll verification and employee actions,
and manages institutional HR reporting. The Human Resources
Administrator should have strong analytical skills and capacity to
develop a comprehensive understanding of university processes and
ensure compliance with policies and processes while serving as a
primary resource for department HR administrators and senior
leadership across the school. Job Summary Provides advice and
guidance on all phases of human resources, serves as a consultant
to people managers and unit leadership, and manages recruitment
strategy and coordinates the interview process. Facilitates
trainings, provides strategic planning and budgeting guidance, and
performs complex data analysis for senior management. Essential
Functions Manage the appointment, reappointment, termination, and
bench processes for approximately 350-400 part-time faculty,
ensuring compliance with university and CBA regulations. Partner
with the Faculty Affairs team to support appointment, promotion,
and tenure activities and ensure promotion and tenure packages are
accurate and complete. Lead payroll and pay register verification,
including review and approval of Individual Compensation Plans,
employee terminations, and Pitt Worx transactions to ensure
accurate and timely employee actions. Oversee and approve student
hiring and manage the appointment process for academic student
personnel (such as Graduate Student Researchers, Teaching
Assistants). Lead HR training for department administrators’
school-wide, facilitate monthly SHRS orientations and all-staff
meetings. Source and coordinate specialist-led presentations to
deliver training on job functions, leadership, and staff
engagement. Develop and manage school-wide HR processes and
projects, for example standardized hiring procedures and
comprehensive onboarding for faculty and staff across SHRS.
Maintain HR file management, oversee the annual review process, and
manage hiring documentation and notifications related to new hires
and terminations. Manage HR and institutional reports for the
school, university, Health Sciences, and other entities, including
data gathering, analysis, compilation, and review. Oversee the
child protection clearance process for employees and school events.
Maintain current knowledge of university, health sciences, and SHRS
policies and collective bargaining agreements, providing guidance
and recommendations on HR actions accordingly. Additional duties as
needed Physical Effort The incumbent will perform duties that
require remaining sedentary for long periods. Must be able to lift

Anthropic Claude, Teams) is preferred. Combination of education and
experience will be considered. Work Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:30
a.m. - 5:00 p.m Work Arrangement Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus
