Job Designation

The Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will assist with running the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including, but not limited to, hiring and interviewing staff, employee relation issues, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Job Core Responsibilities

Assist or performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.

Interviews and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings and creates or updates job descriptions as needed.

Partners with management to communicate and implement various Human Resources policies, procedures, standards and government laws/regulations.

Provides performance management guidance, and together with the business leadership provoke positive changes in the people management.

Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors. Conducts confidential investigations and engages in conflict resolution referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

Act as an employee advocate and as a company representative in balancing company policy, process, and culture, with employee needs.

Analyzes and evaluates data and reports, and presents results to relevant managers and advises on changes and/or improvements. Responsible for maintaining data for all monthly report outs.

Ability to travel domestically/internationally as required for business needs.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Specifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience or 10 years' of relevant experience in lieu of degree

Bachelor's Degree and minimum of 8 years of experience - preferred

Skills

Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.

Ability to research and analyze data effectively and accurately.

Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills including strong presentation skills.

Ability to effectively plan and manage recruitment and staffing efforts with a successful track record of decision making related to talent selection and development.

Well-organized, detail-oriented, and ability to multi-task in a very fast paced environment.

Capable of working independently and prioritizing duties with minimal supervision, in order to meet deadlines.

Goal oriented with the capability to drive results. Plan and execute to ensure adherence to business requirements.

Demonstrated decision making skills.

Interface with cross-functional disciplines including but not limited to Operations, Engineering and Accounting to drive tasks and projects to completion.

Above average computer skills while working in multiple systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and HRIS systems.

Thorough knowledge of employment related legislation, regulations, and compliance.

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.

Action oriented - Taking on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

Optimizes work processes - Knowing the most effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvement.

Manages ambiguity - Operating effectively, even when things are not certain or the way forward is not clear.

Experience with labor union and laws in a manufacturing environment are desired.

PHR/SPHR certification is desirable.
