Job DescriptionPortage Country Club is seeking well-qualified
line cooks for their Culinary Department. Join the Portage Team and
work in a safe, respectful environment to provide our members and
their guests with an exceptional experience. We have full- and
part-time positions available with opportunities to grow.Job
Summary- Work quickly while practicing proper food safety and
sanitation procedures.- Work directly with other line cooks and
sous chef to ensure consistency and quality of food.- Follow
instructions and procedures through recipes.- Help put away orders
and the rotation of products following the FIFO methods.- Prepare
workstation ingredients and execute to the Executive Chef's
standards.- Work with and prepare fresh meats, seafood, and
vegetables daily.- Prepare items using basic cooking skills;
grilling, baking, frying, braising, etc.- Make stocks and sauces-
Practice basic culinary knife skills.Skills/ Qualifications-
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.- Ability to prioritize
work demands in a fast-paced environment.- Reliable transportation
to work.- Good communication skills and the ability to work with
others.
