Paladina Health is growing fast and we need a Center Manager who is also an experienced Medical Assistant to lead our innovative primary care team in the Cleveland and/or Akron, OH areas. This individual has responsibility in their clinic(s) for direct supervision of Medical Assistants, Medical Assistant training, oversight of operational processes, and supporting the Field Operations Manager (FOM) to maximize success of the Paladina Health program in their clinics. Center Managers reports directly to the Field Operations Manager. This teammate is expected to be an expert in all front and back office clinic processes and a daily leader to the clinics that they oversee. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES The Center Manager is directly responsible for managing all administrative and operational functions associated with assigned clinics. This includes ensuring a smooth and efficient operation, inventory control, personnel management, patient relations, and patient flow. The Center Manager will support the mission, purpose, objectives, policies, and procedures of Paladina Health through daily operations. The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position for their assigned area, but are not intended to be all-inclusive. Direct supervision of all non-provider staff in the clinics overseen. In collaboration with the FOM, manages care team scheduling, timesheets, performance reviews, goal planning and staffing for given clinics. In collaboration with Field Operations Manager manages Human Resources by participating in the hiring, orientation and ongoing supervision of non-provider clinical team members in order to provide excellent patient experiences and reduce employee turnover. Ensuring optimal staffing at all times. When delegated by the FOM, Center Managers will handle supply ordering and repairs and maintenance. Troubleshoots day-to-day operational challenges such in areas such as facility issues, staffing, and patient complaints in collaboration with Field Operations Manager. Will consult with Field Operations Manager for larger issues. Initial and ongoing training of Medical Assistants in coordination with the Field Operations Manager and Clinical Excellence team. Reviews with Field Operations Manager the operational budget and investigates and works on any variances for controlled expenses, to ensure the clinic stays within the budget parameters. Updates and executes on operational processes such as clinic checklist review and completion, inventory management, supply ordering, and onsite dispensing process oversight. Improves patient care processes to ensure patient safety and an excellent patient experience. Serves as a back-up support for Medical Assistants when there are gaps in coverage due to PTO, Callouts, vacancies and bereavement. Support Paladina Health program enrollment and engagement activities, as needed Works to ensure clinic compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and standards and will provide recommendations and follow up actions to operational inefficiencies. Exhibits compliant and ethical behavior in the performance of job responsibilities, including complying with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations, Paladina Health Business Ethics Policies and Procedures and other policies and procedures applicable to position. DESIRED ATTRIBUTES Previous experience in leading and/or managing a medical practice with oversight of other Medical Assistants preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate congenial and professional working relationships with patients, providers, staff, peers, and management thus creating a harmonious work environment. Significant experience in coordinating with Medical Assistants and clinicians in a primary care environment on processes relevant to the essential duties and responsibilities of the role above Ability to exercise initiative with effective problem solving and decision making, and apply policies and procedures to solve everyday problems; ability to deal with variety of situations. Ability to identify and implement primary care operations process improvements Demonstrates a high degree of patient service excellence and team identity Excellent listening and communications skills that enable effective MA training and oversight Strong attention to detail; ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task under pressure Strong desire to help build on Paladina Health's success in order to achieve its vision MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma and graduation from a formal MA training program 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care environment Excellent clinical skills, to include: phlebotomy, injections/immunizations, EKGs, sterilization techniques Certification with the American Association of Medical Assistants strongly preferred Extensive experience with EMR, inventory/supply process management, and ideally a CRM tool such as Salesforce Ability to travel extensively within the region
