Contract Job Title: RN – Cardio Prep & Recovery (Cath Lab)
Location: Akron, Ohio (Akron Campus) Duration: 04/06/2026 –
06/28/2026 Shift: 07:00 AM – 05:30 PM Job Overview: We are seeking
an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Cardiology Prep &
Recovery unit. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care for
patients undergoing pre-operative and post-operative diagnostic and
interventional cardiac, peripheral vascular, and electrophysiology
procedures. This role involves patient assessment, monitoring,
documentation, and education to support patients and their families
in managing cardiac conditions. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver
high-quality nursing care using the nursing process - Perform
patient assessments, monitoring, and accurate documentation -
Provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac and vascular
interventions - Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions
and recovery plans - Collaborate with physicians and
interdisciplinary healthcare teams - Maintain compliance with
hospital protocols and service excellence standards - Exercise
clinical judgment in patient care and decision-making - Support a
team-oriented environment and contribute to patient-centered care
Minimum Qualifications: Education: - Bachelor of Science in Nursing
(BSN) preferred - Associate Degree in Nursing accepted (BSN
required within 3 years) - Graduate from an accredited nursing
program (CCNE or ACEN) Licensure: - Active RN license in the State
of Ohio Experience: - Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
Certifications Required: - BLS (Basic Life Support) - ACLS
(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) Required Skills &
Competencies: - Strong communication skills with patients and
healthcare teams - Ability to work independently and within
established procedures - Excellent clinical judgment and
decision-making skills - Ability to monitor and interpret patient
data accurately - Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration
skills - Commitment to patient dignity, respect, and quality care
Additional Requirements: - Completion of facility-specific
competency exams and checklists - Compliance with health
screenings, vaccinations, and background checks - Ability to meet
physical and visual requirements of the role Minimum
Qualifications: /n/n1. Formal Education Required:/na. Bachelor’s of
Science in Nursing (BSN)/nb. Applicants with an Associate’s degree
will be considered but are required to obtain BSN within three (3)
years of employment/nc. Graduate of a program of professional
nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing
Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in
Nursing (ACEN)/nd. Current license to practice registered nursing
in the State of Ohio/n/n2. Experience & Training Required:/ne.
Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio./nf. Two
(2) years RN nursing experience /n/n3. Other Skills, Competencies
and Qualifications:/na. ACLS, BLS required/nb. Ability to
communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other
hospital employees./nc. Near visual acuity for accurate reading of
gauges, thermometers and monitors./nd. Ability to work
independently within established procedures./ne. Ability to
exercise professional judgment and decision making in response to
individual cases./nf. Assumes accountability for demonstrating
