Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit Location: Fairmont, WV Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,272 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Stepdown/MedSurg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Stepdown experience Description: The unit has a 50-mile radius rule. The unit consists of 20 beds. Patient ratios are 1:3 in Stepdown and 1:5-6 on the floor. Common diagnoses include respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute kidney injury, and chest pain. Registered nurses are required to titrate drips. Common titratable and/or set rate drips include Heparin, insulin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone. A charge nurse/house supervisor is present. There are nurse aides on this unit, with 2 per shift. Respiratory therapy equipment, such as CPAP and BiPAP, is utilized in this unit. Patients are monitored with telemetry. Nurses read strips. Weekend requirements include 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule. Holidays require rotating shifts. There is no call or standby requirement. Scrub color is royal blue. Unit-specific orientation is provided. The facility may cancel 2 shifts per 13-week assignment. The charting system used is EPIC.
