Differentials and On-Call Stipends Stipend for Bilingual,

qualifications POSITION PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES The primary
responsibility of this position is to provide clinical and
administrative supervision and leadership to the Crisis Services
staff on assigned shift for all components of Crisis Services;
mobile, hotline and crisis stabilization, with particular focus on
hotline. Assigns and delegates tasks to all Crisis Services staff
to insure quality and timely response to client need and efficiency
of staff resources. Provides crisis intervention and stabilization
services for clients with mental health and substance abuse
disorders. Utilizes the Trauma Inform Care approach to promote
healing in a safe, stigma-free environment with compassion for all
people. Manages daily affairs for the team. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists Crisis Services Associate Director in training new crisis
staff, orients new staff to Crisis Services. Trains staff on an
ongoing basis. Evaluates quality and efficiency of Hotline by
listening in on calls, reviewing audio of calls, and providing
constructive criticism and feedback to hotline staff. Creates and
maintains a customer service oriented environment where meeting the
caller's needs are a priority. Supervises and evaluates the job
performance of the Crisis Services clinical staff in conjunction
with Associate Director and Director. Provides 1-1 and group
supervision to supervisees on shift. Assigns and supervises work
tasks of staff working in all program areas of Crisis Services
(Hotline, Mobile Outreach, and Stabilization Unit). Provides direct
services to clients in all program areas as needed. Make decisions
on staffing levels on each shift based on safety and clinical need.
Approves all leave time of clinical staff. Ensures Crisis Services
is responsive and sensitive to community requests for service 24
hours per day. Ensures that the clinical practice of staff assigned
to the unit provide a balance between safety and least restrictive
alternative in a residential environment (e.g. that clients are
self-medicating; acute clients are hospitalized, etc.) Responds to
and attempts to resolve, in a timely fashion, complaints made by
clients, families, or by other service systems and brings these
issues to the attention of the Associate Director and Director.
Keeps staff informed of all policy changes and new program
expectations. Participates in supervisory/management meetings.
Works on-call as supervisory back-up as assigned by the Associate
Director. Consults and works with Associate Director and Director
regarding clinical issues and administrative risk management
issues. Utilizes respectful, trauma-informed language in all
aspects of the job. Creates and maintains a trauma-informed care
environment that respects self-determination and the need for
everyone to be treated with dignity and respect. Promotes and
supports Trauma Informed Care implementation and initiatives within
the organization. Uses the Trauma Informed Care approach to work
collaboratively with clients and other team members (internal and
external) to help support clients in their treatment and recovery.
Must be able to react to change and stress productively and to
handle other related tasks as assigned. Must be able to maintain
regular and predictable attendance and punctuality. Must be able to
get along with others and work as a team, show leadership and
problem solving skills and facilitate teamwork. Must exhibit the
knowledge, skills, abilities, and minimum requirements listed in
this Position Description. Assumes additional responsibilities and
performs special projects as needed or directed Requirements:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED Employee must have a good
knowledge of DSM V, mental health assessments, crisis intervention
techniques, substance abuse disorders, psychotropic medications and
some supervision skills. Must have good oral and written
communication skills and ability to resolve conflict in working
with community agencies, multidisciplinary teams and in dealing
with the public on the hotline calls. In order to perform the
essential functions of this job, after an orientation period, the
employee must possess the following: a working knowledge of Nord
Center Policy and Procedures, including sensitivity and adherence
to clients’ rights, confidentiality, and health and safety issues.
Must exhibit sensitivity to different cultures and demonstrate
leadership skills. WORKING CONDITIONS A significant part of the
work is performed in an office setting, a small part of the work
may include interacting with clients during assessments and crisis
intervention at Crisis Services or on the hotline. The individual
must be able to successfully interact and navigate in all types of
facilities and weather conditions, as needed. This includes being
able to walk, climb stairs, navigate changing surface conditions
including wet, slippery, and icy grounds, and function in the
proximity of electrical appliances, open flames and in areas with
poor air quality including potentially smoke-filled rooms. This
individual may periodically be required to lift and/or carry up to
10 pounds. Must be able to physically interact with client and
others in emergency situations to prevent harm to client and others
utilizing verbal crisis intervention techniques. The individual in
this position must be able to communicate clearly both verbally and
in writing. Due to the extensive computer work this individual must
be able to sit for extended periods of time and operate required
equipment. QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters Degree in Social Work or
Counseling is required. Must be licensed in the State of Ohio as an
LISW, LPCC, or IMFT. A minimum of three years' experience in a
mental health field and crisis intervention are preferred.
Experience with or education on substance abuse disorders
preferred. Some experiencing with supervision and diagnosing mental
health disorders are required. Experience with Trauma-informed
services or training, a plus. Must have a good working knowledge of
the DSM V, mental health assessments, crisis intervention
techniques, substance abuse disorders, and psychotropic
medications. Must have good oral and written communication skills
and the ability to resolve conflict. Basic computer skills
required, including familiarity with Windows and Microsoft Office.
The necessity for travel in this job requires that the employee
possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with less than 6 points in a
36 month period, have proof of adequate personal automobile
insurance, and use of a personal vehicle. Candidates with
educational backgrounds and training in trauma-informed and/or
