ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Intermediate Care Unit Registered Nurse - 12 Hour Night Shift Location Not specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour night shifts, weekends as scheduled. Required to work 4 weekend night shifts within a 4-week schedule. Job Description The Intermediate Care Unit (IMU) is a 30-bed unit dedicated to providing high-quality care to patients with intermediate acuity. The goal is to maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4, although it is typically 1:5, and occasionally may reach 1:6. Registered Nurses (RNs) are expected to manage a full patient assignment while working collaboratively with a clinical assistant and certified nursing assistants (CNAs). Responsibilities - Monitor and manage patients with conditions such as chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, and post-procedure care. - Read and interpret cardiac telemetry strips, with the support of tele techs. - Titrate drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, and others as required. - Collaborate with hospitalists and intensivists, who are in-house 24/7. - Participate in floating to tele or med-surg as needed, ensuring flexibility in patient care delivery. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Current BLS and ACLS certifications required. - NIHSS certification preferred. - Active nursing license without any licensing hits. Why ARMStaffing?
