Job Description Job Description Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2 years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialized surgical technologist role is available for a highly skilled professional with extensive experience in orthopedic, neurological, and vascular procedures. This contract opportunity is located in Coshocton, OH, and requires a candidate well-versed in a broad range of surgical technologies with a particular focus on orthopedics and other complex specialties. Candidates must bring a deep understanding of central processing and instrumentation, demonstrating excellent critical thinking skills in the operating room. Responsibilities: Prepare operating rooms and equipment before surgeries Assist surgeons during orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and other surgical procedures Maintain sterile environments and adhere to all safety protocols Manage instrumentation and ensure proper sterilization and availability during operations Respond promptly to on-call alerts, with a required 30-minute on-site response time Participate in approximately every 5th weekend call rotation and 1-2 calls per week, with holiday call rotation as needed Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) preferred Extensive, current experience in orthopedic, neuro, vascular, and related surgical cases Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and central processing techniques Excellent critical thinking and ability to work effectively under pressure Schedule: 36-40 hours per week, flexible across three 12-hour shifts, four 10-hour shifts, or five 8-hour shifts Start and end times negotiable to best fit department needs On-call duty requirements as described above Location Overview:Coshocton, OH, is a vibrant community surrounded by picturesque natural landscapes and rich history.
