the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find
a qualified Neuro RN in Morgantown, West Virginia, 26506! Job
Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Neuro
MedSurg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Weekend Nights Hours per Shift:
12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required
Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have:
Strong Neuro experience; Proficiency and frequency with G-tubes;
Recent Epic experience Description: Unit has 20 beds with a patient
ratio of 1:5-6. Common diagnoses include Neurosciences, Deep Brain
Stimulators, Stroke, Seizures, Surgical/PostOp Spines, and
Neurological Disorders. Titration of drips is done by physician's
orders in a step-down setting. Protocols may exist for titration
and education will be provided. Common titratable and set rate
drips include Amiodarone, Cardizem, Nitro, Dopamine, Nipride,
Ketamine, Lasix, Bumex, and Insulin. Three nurse aids are available
per shift with ratios of 1:7-10. Respiratory Therapy is available
24/7 for floor vents. RNs are not required to have vent experience
as the vents are managed by Respiratory Therapy and physicians.
Telemetry is available on the unit, and RNs do not need to read
strips. Documentation of verified monitor tech’s strip reading is
done in the charting system. Travelers should be flexible regarding
shift assignments and weekend rotations. Weekend positions require
working either Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or Saturday, Sunday,
and Monday. Holiday shifts are expected as part of the rotation.
Floating may be required to specific units if needed. Dress code
includes any combination of white and royal blue. Cancellation
policy allows for two shifts per 13-week contract. Charting system
used is EPIC. Bachelor of Science in Nursing is not required. 5
