Job Description:

medical nutrition therapy (MNT) to patients enrolled in the Summa
Health Non-Surgical and Surgical Weight Management Programs, as
well as to other patients of the Bariatric Care Center needing MNT.
Provides discharge teaching regarding post-op diet protocols to all
surgical patients. Teaches classes in each program. Manages all
phone calls from patients with nutrition questions. Reviews
nutritional value lab results and implements standing orders for
vitamin replacement. Collaborates with surgeons, physicians,
psychologists, nurses and all other members of the weight
management treatment team. Formal Education Required: -Bachelor’s
degree in Nutrition or closely related field of study -Registered
and licensed dietitian (RD) Experience & Training Required: -1-2
years of position related experience in the care of patients d
needing non-surgical and surgical weight management strongly
preferred -Certified as Specialist in Obesity and Weight Management
by the Commission on Dietetic Registration or willing to obtain
within 1-2 years. 3.Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
-Ability to operate a computer -Population Specific Competency:
ability to effectively interact with patients/customers who are of
varying degrees of overweight and obesity, with an understanding of

Employer/Veterans/Disabled $28.10/hr - $42.15/hr The salary range
on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any
bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant
experience and geographical location are considered when
determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance
of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team
members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range
that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum
