The Director of Nursing (DON) will oversee the nursing department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, leadership skills, and a passion for providing compassionate care.Director of Nursing (DON) Responsibilities Include:Direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel (RNs, LPNs, CNAs etc.)Guide staffing proceduresSet objectives and long-term goals for the nursing departmentOrganize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care proceduresDevelop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high quality standardsControl budgets and monitor expendituresResolve issues and deficiencies when neededManage record-keeping proceduresCollaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operationsReport to upper managementDirector of Nursing (DON) Skills:Proven experience as Director of Nursing (DON)Must be an RNIn-depth knowledge of hospital procedures and KPI/KQIs of patient careUnderstanding of basic budgeting and financial reportingGreat knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcareWillingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administrationExcellent ability to lead and develop personnelGreat communication and people skillsOutstanding organizational and stress management skillsAptitude in problem-solvingDegree in nursing; Masters degree in nursing or healthcare administration is a plusValid nursing and CPR certificationCompetitive and comprehensive benefits package including but not limited to:Generous Paid Time OffMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
