Job Summary:
As a Director of QA, you will implement policies and procedures for
the software quality assurance function. Evaluates and monitors
tools, methodologies, and automation to ensure effective testing
and identification of defects. The Director of QA oversees
integration, E2E and user acceptance testing efforts. This
individual will be a change agent in our transformation to
building, inspiring and guiding quality engineering teams to
deliver best-in-class test automation frameworks.
Essential Functions:
Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or
more of the following:
- You will be responsible for providing direction to your team
members, establishing and improving testing processes and
strategies to ensure exceptional quality and end-user
experience
- Will be driving automation efforts to improve overall engineering
efficiency with particular focus on test automation, performance
testing, continuous integration and delivery
- Guiding the team in design and implementation of test plans,
reporting on the quality of products, and mentoring and coaching
your team
- You should be comfortable with leading the team to test complex
and new technologies and ready to roll up your sleeves and work
through technical challenges with your team
- Scale the QA team to build and deliver world-class SAAS products,
set clear goals and lead collaborative alignment across the
company
- You will be working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment in which
you will be developing and cultivating partnerships with many
cross-functional teams
- Collaborate closely with Development, Product and QA teams to
deliver software releases with an ever-increasing level of
quality
- Drive key metrics around quality, including how quality is
reported at each step of the development lifecycle
- Compiles and reports key performance indicators to the Executive
Leadership Team
- Enable effective decision making and risk/return tradeoffs using
quantitative and qualitative quality metrics
- Responsible for working with HR to create well-defined career
paths and opportunities for members of the QA organization.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education : BS/BTech degree in Computer Science or a technical
related field
Experience :
8-10+ years of core development
5+ years in team management/leadership handling testing and
delivery of enterprise applications
Direct experience with:
Test automation tools (MS Visual Studio, C#.net, NUnit, xUnit,
Selenium WebDriver, Rest API, Appium, etc.)
Candidates should be experienced with multiple operating systems,
with a preferred emphasis on Microsoft Windows, and some
familiarity with a "scripting" language (i.e., php, python,
etc.)
Azure Portal, Azure DevOps (TFS): GIT, test plans, releases
Azure cloud environments
SQL Server Management studio
Postman and Cucumber
Jmeter, Gatling, AWS or similar
Has profound expertise in manual and automated test planning and
execution while building modern test frameworks and
infrastructure
Basic knowledge of STLC and understanding of Test Automation
Testing levels (integration, components, UI)
Testing types (functional, non-functional)
Testing approaches
Automation reports and KPIs
Ownership and improvement of testing processes and product
quality
Communicate to key stakeholders and executive leadership on product
quality
Ability to work in a continually changing, dynamic environment and
driving top issues to resolution
Ability to summarize key points and tie them back to the customer
experience and present them crisply
Familiarity with distributed systems testing SaaS system &
performance testing
Computer Skills : Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft applications,
including MS Access and Office applications. Generic
troubleshooting knowledge and problem-solving skills for electronic
equipment, systems, and software. Familiarity with MS DevOps and
Agile Methodologies. Demonstrated knowledge of networking
topologies and security.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid United States Driver's
license. Must have own personal credit card to use for travel with
a minimum of $2,000 credit.
Travel: Willingness to travel periodically in support of
collaboration with other DRB Systems teams.
Other Requirements: Strong technical communications, both written
and verbal. Detail oriented, with task and time-management
abilities. Team player with strong interpersonal skills. Leads by
example, takes everyone along, is hands-on and has a passion to
drive for success.
