Job Description:

DHL Supply Chain is looking for a Project Manager to work in either our Akron, Ohio location or our North American HQ in Westerville, OH. Looking for a PM background preferably in the Supply Chain, Transportation or 3PL industry.Key Accountabilities:

  • Identifying opportunities and creating business cases to deliver transformational improvements within the customer's supply chain
  • Manage small, medium to large projects in line with the project management methodology to achieve successful project delivery
  • Gaining project approvals at senior level within the customer's organization
  • Deliver auditable savings and transformation within the customer's supply chain
  • To be aligned with LLP and customer strategy to ensure delivery of key targets and objectives
  • Projects delivered on time, on budget, within scope and within agreed quality standards
  • Achievement of personal and wider LLP savings targetsResponsibilities
    • Responsible for the identification and delivery of gain sharable savings projects and initiatives that create value to the customer's supply chain
    • Engage with all required stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects and savings initiatives
    • Manage the overall planning, control, status reporting, stability and delivery of nominated projects
    • Develop project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status reports as required to maintain customer requirements
    • Present project updates and savings proposals for customer sign off and assist in development of savings tracker process
    • Process
      • Responsible for managing the DePICT project management methodology and risk management process where required
      • Development of project pipeline and savings forecasts to focus effective activity in value creation for customer
      • Ensure on time and accurate reporting of all savings projects & deliver best practice documentation, completed to quality standards, kept up to date in the project database
      • Manage the application of the ACT change management methodology and approach.
      • Identify, manage and influence stakeholders to achieve business benefits
      • Provide project management support to the wider teams within the contract
      • Manage project performance against the business cases and implement action plans to ensure benefit realization
      • Implement previous lessons learnt output and feedback to drive continuous improvementRequirements:
        • 3-5 years experience in logistics or manufacturing environment(desirable)
        • Experience within an LLP operational environment
        • DePICT project management methodology (desirable)
        • ACT change management methodology (desirable)
        • DMAIC process improvement methodology (desirable)
        • 3-5 years experience in project management roles (essential)
