Job Description:
The Shift Manager Electrical Maintenance works in conjunction
with HSM electrical process managers and senior engineers.
Candidate assists with daily maintenance activities and leads small
maintenance & improvement projects in assigned area. Candidate will
work side by side with other HSM electrical managers and engineers.
Candidate will become familiar and proficient at DC overhead
traveling cranes, Level 1 PLCs & drive systems. An Electrical Shift
Manager is responsible for the following: Enforcing and following
safety rules, conducting daily & monthly safety contacts along with
documentation, supervise & manage hourly MTE staff, troubleshoot
equipment breakdowns, and make quick effective decisions to
continue production. Candidate must have a fundamental
understanding of industrial electricity and controls up to 11.5KV.
Basic understanding of mechanical equipment is also required.
Candidate must make sound decisions based upon troubleshooting
skills. Minimum/Basic Requirements: Minimum Education: Associates
degree in related field (Electrical Engineering) Other Minimum
Requirements: In lieu of Associates degree, 3 years work experience
in heavy manufacturing and supervisory experience. Will accept 2
years of military experience with both electrical and supervision
experience. Preferred Requirements: Preferred Education: Bachelors
degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Technology Other Preferred Requirements: One (1) year of electrical
maintenance experience and familiarity with PLCs and related I/O.
Fundamental understanding of analog SCR drives, AC & DC drives, AC
& DC motor theory and control.
