Our client, a well-known, prestigious boutique labor and employment law firm, is seeking to hire a Director of Administration. We are seeking candidates for the Director of Administration role who will bring a high degree of energy and organization to the job. This position will report to the Managing Shareholder but will function with a high degree of autonomy. The position will have primary responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the office which includes, but is not limited to: --personnel management, office budget management, payroll, benefits administration, purchasing of goods and services, maintaining technical support systems, and implementing marketing/public relations strategy. In addition, this role will supervise a staff of 12 and play a key role in firm recruitment and onboarding. Key Job Responsibilities: --Provide Managing Shareholder with guidance and advice on business operations Troubleshoot and be the point of contact for systems and technical support to ensure-- -- --availability and optimization Manage all vendor contracts, including IT services, facilities, marketing/PR, insurance brokers, and other outside service providers and vendors Manage payroll, tax filings, monthly billing and financial reporting Prepare, review, and manage the firm's budget as it relates to revenue projections, operating expenses, capital expenditures, and projects Identify personnel/staff needs, manage the recruiting process for administrative staff and lawyers, and provide onboarding for all new hires, including systems, benefits and policies Oversee the performance management function for all non-lawyer staff and ensure a flexible workforce that is responsive to the needs of clients Manage all benefits and risk management administration for the firm, including employee healthcare, 401 (k), and liability insurance Manage and work in conjunction with the firm's marketing/PR vendor to ensure completion of marketing strategies and tactics and coordinate and support marketing events, such as annual client seminar Develop internal reports and perform special projects as necessary to assist Managing Shareholder Job Requirements: --Excellent planning and organizational skills, time management, analytical and problem-solving skills High level of initiative, motivation and enthusiasm Good sense of humor Ability to recommend solutions in consultative manner Results oriented with a high level of attention to detail Maturity, good judgment, discretion, and integrity Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in business administration or comparable field --Accounting/financial literacy --Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite --Network maintenance experience --Working knowledge of human resources best practices --Excellent written and verbal communication skills The position requires project management skills, superb interpersonal skills, and the ability to wear many hats.
