PLEASE DO NOT VISIT OUR LOCATION AS WE WORK OUT OF A COWORKING FACILITY.Prancing Dog Consulting, a firm specializing in development and funding consulting for nonprofit organizations, is growing and is seeking to hire its first administrative assistant in January 2022.This is a unique position looking for a unique person! We are seeking to hire people local to the Akron area, but this position can be done entirely remotely. We cannot provide a computers at this time so the perfect candidate will be able to utilize their own. Currently, we work out of a coworking space in Akron and would be willing to purchase a coworking pass for the right candidate after an initial trial period.Initially, this position will be 10 hours weekly with room to grow. This position is also incredibly flexible and is perfect for a college student, stay-at-home parent, or people looking to subsidize their income.Our company provides development and funding support to organizations working in animal welfare, environmental justice, animal advocacy, education, arts, bail reform, prison abolition, harm reduction, LGBTQIA+ rights, and more.We are dedicated to creating a safe, inclusive workplace for all and encourage LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, people with histories of incarceration, those without college degrees, people with limited job experience, people with gaps in their resume, and poverty-impacted people to apply.Our administrative assistant will receive complimentary access to comprehensive nonprofit education programs, literature, etc. to help them, not only within this role, but wherever they may go beyond their work with us.Our ideal candidate works well with people of all backgrounds and is a solid communicator. A firm handle on computer systems is a must. Experience with Notion, Trello, Slack, Signal, Instrumentl, Grantstation, etc is a plus!ResponsibilitiesCompleting grants prospect researchOrganize and schedule appointmentsPlan meetings and take detailed minutesWrite and distribute email, letters, and formsPerform data entry and database management through NotionMaintain contact listsAct as the point of contact for internal and external clientsLiaise with other team members to provide support as-neededSkillsProven experience as an administrative assistant or office admin assistantKnowledge of project management software (Notion, Trello, etc)Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, etc)Proficiency with OutlookExcellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize workAttention to detail and problem solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to multi-taskHigh School degree or GEDJob Types: Part-time, ContractPay: From $20.00 per hourBenefits:Flexible scheduleProfessional development assistanceApplication Question(s):Why are you passionate about working with nonprofit organizations?How many hours are you able to work?Work Location: One location
